CALLING ALL VOE DADS: Watch D.O.G.S. is back!

All About The Program:

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a nationally recognized, non-profit, created for the purpose of encouraging dads, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures to become more involved in schools.  The men who volunteer serve as positive male role models for our students while also enhancing our school’s security.  Volunteers commit to serving at least one full school day each year. They spend their day involved with activities such as helping with morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, reading with students, working with students on flashcards, playing at recess, eating lunch with students, and monitoring entrances and hallways.  They have some special time dedicated to being with their own kids, but they spend most of their day also mentoring to others. We’re looking forward to another great year of dad involvement. Not only is it a great time for dads, but the kids absolutely love having their hero with them at school.

When Is It?

There will be 6 open spots for the kick-off date on October 25th. It is Field Day and we would love to have the lots of involvement for this fun-filled day. After that there will be 3 volunteer spots available for each Friday volunteer date.
